Our Chorley Taxi Story Has A Mission

The Chorley Taxi Association (CTA) was created to improve safety for local customers. They recognized a pressing need for more representation for the local Taxi drivers in Chorley, as well as a need to bridge the gap between operators, Private Hire drivers, and Hackney Carriage Drivers. CTA promotes industry unity, collaboration, and safety for drivers and passengers.

Chorley Taxi Association has set out three objectives to overcome the concerns: -

(i) To unite the independent working areas, namely the Taxi Operators, Private Hire Drivers, Hackney Carriage Drivers, local businesses and supporting our local community.

CTA saw the connection between taxing, passenger travel, and regulations. To promote harmony, CTA educates drivers on these regulations for a more efficient system.

(ii) CTA aims to protect the interests of Chorley Taxi Drivers and the Public.

CTA promotes an inclusive platform for drivers to voice concerns and address taxi-related issues. With the team we have, CTA works with the Local Council to implement fair policies and create a prosperous future for drivers.

(iii) To keep the customers safe, particularly the vulnerable customers who require additional support and security.

If customers have concerns about a Taxi driver, they can contact CTA directly for help and resolution. CTA is available during or after the trip to assist promptly. Customers can also ask other CTA members to intervene if needed, ensuring safety and respect.

Additionally, any lost customer property found in a CTA taxi is reported immediately to CTA, allowing customers to confidently report and trace it through our network.

The Chorley Taxi Association protects, represents, and successfully unites Chorley Taxi drivers to build a safer future for our community and the trade for the people of Chorley Borough.
