Chorley Taxi Story: An Association with a Mission
Our mission is simple: to support Chorley’s taxi trade through fairness, communication, and safety. To achieve this, the Chorley Taxi Association focuses on three main objectives.
1. Uniting the Industry and Community
We aim to bring together all areas of the local taxi trade, Operators, Private Hire Drivers, Hackney Carriage Drivers, and the wider community. By understanding and encouraging cooperation, we help create a smoother, more efficient system for everyone involved. Chorley Taxi Association also works to educate drivers about key regulations and industry standards to ensure consistent, high-quality service across the board.
2. Protecting Drivers and the Public
The CTA provides a strong, inclusive platform for Chorley’s taxi drivers to share their concerns and raise industry issues. We work closely with Chorley Council and other authorities to ensure that policies are fair, transparent, and in the best interests of both drivers and passengers. Our goal is to help build a secure and successful future for everyone within the local and national taxi trade.
3. Prioritising Passenger Safety
Passenger safety is at the core of everything we do. The Chorley Taxi Association ensures that vulnerable passengers and those who may need extra assistance are treated with care and respect. If a customer ever has a concern or wishes to give feedback about their journey, they can contact the CTA directly.
Lost Property Service
We all know how easy it is to misplace something during a busy day. That’s why the Chorley Taxi Association operates a dedicated Lost Property System. Any items found in a CTA-affiliated taxi are reported immediately, and our network works to reunite them with their owners within 72 hours. If this isn’t possible, items are securely handed to Chorley Council for safekeeping.
